The Tombstone Huckleberries nipped the Lewisville Fire Ants 4 to 3 at the ballpark in a hard fought contest. Tombstone came up with 3 runs in the 6th inning with the help of 5 hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Miguel Cabrera who helped quiet the crowd when he lofted a three-run bomb (his 8th of the season). Lewisville threatened in the 9th but Tombstone was able to put down the rally. The win went to David Wells(4-3) who allowed 3 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings. Armando Benitez recorded the save, his 13th. Erik Bedard(0-1) was the loser. 'He gutted it out' Doug Salzwedel said of Wells. 'I was very impressed by his tenacity.'
